The Patch Needs Friends!
The Friends of William Clarke Park (better known as The Patch) is a local community group working to keep The Patch a beautiful, welcoming space for people and wildlife alike. We raise funds for improvements and run events that bring the community together, and we represent the views of local people to the council.
We’re currently in the process of registering as a charity, so we can fundraise more effectively. We also want to encourage more local involvement by inviting people to become members of the group — Friends of William Clarke Park.
Membership is free (though donations via our website https://www.williamclarkepark.org/donate/ are always welcome). Being a member means you’ll receive occasional updates on events we organise, take part in consultations about what you’d like to see happening in The Patch, and be invited to our Annual General Meeting and other social events. Members can vote or stand for election to the Trustee Committee.
Even better, you can volunteer to help organise events or assist with fundraising. Whatever your skills or interests, The Patch needs you as a friend!
